Outlier is a NYC menswear company that makes performance-driven clothing. Their products utilize fabric technology to create verstaile clothing made for the 21st century. The deep science of their material often couldn't completely communicate through the website's still product images before purchasing. To demonstrate the power of the clothing, we produced video shorts on selected core products to finally show the action in real time.
Art directing for freedom of movement
Jumping, running, and even swimming are all unrestricted actions in Outlier clothing. The editorial direction showcased the fabric's freedom in these activities. We also brought in the founders to provide the inside scoop. Our copywriting focused on Abe's energic telling of product histories while Tyler spoke insightfully on the material. Current customers commented with their praises on the featured products and the curiosity for new customers was piqued for purchasing.
