TELLING THE STORY OF RADICAL QUALITY
Outlier is a NYC menswear company that makes performance-driven clothing. "10 Years of Outlier Innovation" was a gallery-esque retrospective of Outlier's radical methodology and relentless innovation across a 10 year spectrum. Embracing raw interior architecture and large-scale print production, we designed a material-driven experience worthy of Outlier's history.
10 YEARS TRANSFORMED INTO A GALLERY SHOW
There were 4 components to the showcase. 11 large scale posters of past campaign imagery, 66 sample garments, and a series of direct-to-garment printed t-shirts documenting the Outlier history and display racks that highlighted the current season. Our art direction focused on developing a showcase that matched the viligant and radical nature of Outlier.
DIRECT TO GARMENT TEES: This series of wearable images featured Outlier's most iconic campaign imagery of the last 10 years on the front. On the sleeves, the story of each year was printed down the arm.
AN EXHIBITION THAT CONNECTS
Outlier customers and fans exist all over the world but nearly half of Outlier's core customers reside in New York City. Holding an in-person retrospective gave customers an opportunity to not only meet the founders for the first time, but also each other. We activated a deeper and more loyal connection to the brand.
